At our place, gluten-free shouldn’t taste like deprivation. It should taste like a holiday.
At the Mandarfner Hof, one can feel that way more easily.
Andrea knows coeliac disease from personal experience. She knows how much trust matters when it comes to food – and how wonderful it is when you don’t have to explain everything again and again on holiday. Dominik and our kitchen team also know what’s important when it comes to gluten-free catering: good preparation, clear processes and a sharp eye for detail.
Your hotel for coeliac disease in Tyrol
Many hotels state “gluten-free on request”. For guests with coeliac disease, this is often not enough. Because gluten-free means more than just a different bread for breakfast. It means understanding ingredients, traces, work surfaces, processes, communication, and the reassuring feeling of being taken seriously.
This is exactly where the Mandarfner Hof stands out. Because owner Andrea herself lives with coeliac disease, the issue is not theoretical in the hotel. She knows how important reliability is. And she also knows how wonderful it is not to have to explain everything while on holiday.
Gluten-free breakfast at the hotel
For many coeliac guests, the morning is one of the most sensitive moments of their holiday. Bread, pastries, cereal, cake, cold cuts, spreads, work surfaces — there are many points at which care is important at breakfast.
If you inform us in good time, we will prepare accordingly and coordinate gluten-free options for your breakfast. This way, the day starts more calmly. With more certainty. And with the pleasant feeling of not having to explain everything.
Gluten-free half-board stay in Pitztal
After breakfast, the Pitztal awaits you. Perhaps you’ll go hiking, skiing, to the Rifflsee or simply out into the crisp mountain air. And when you return, you can once again enjoy a moment of arrival. Our afternoon snack from 14:30 to 16:30 is part of our pampering half-board package and provides that pleasant pause between being outdoors and indoors. We will also do our best to accommodate your gluten-free needs if you let us know in good time.
Dinner begins at 18:30 in the evening. The day then winds down. One can sit together and enjoy it in peace. That is exactly what we wish for guests with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance:
I am gluten-free, and they really accommodated this well, as the chef herself also follows a gluten-free diet. Very varied in terms of themes too: from gala dinners to a simple "Austrian tapas" evening. We really lacked nothing!
Why pre-registration is so important
Gluten-free meals require calm preparation. Good products must be purchased, processes coordinated, and special kitchen steps considered. Separate handling can only be properly planned if we know about your needs before you arrive.
That’s why we ask you to let us know in good time whether you have coeliac disease, a gluten intolerance, or simply wish to eat gluten-free. If you inform us spontaneously on site, we cannot guarantee gluten-free catering to the same standard.
Our gluten-free offering at a glance
At the Mandarfner Hof, upon prior arrangement, you can enjoy gluten-free options from breakfast to dinner, personal understanding from Andrea, who herself has coeliac disease, and careful guidance from Dominik and our kitchen team.
We take care of the conscious procurement of gluten-free products, preparation, separate handling and coordination between the kitchen and service. For this additional effort, we charge €10.00 per person per day.
